What a great treat!
Great orange color, age is perfect, on The nose leather and dried fruit , perfect Balance and loooong aftertaste
4.5 - This wine is essentially three-fourths Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc. Offers up plenty of white chocolate, cassis and mulberry as well as a hint of roasted herbs. With fleshy, round flavors, full-bodied texture and an amazing finish.
After the King Cheval Blanc '97 my friend offered the 'small' brother called Petit Cheval (what a birthday!). Small only by the name because this second wine has also a lot of personnality and stuff. Less elegant and deep and more powerful. Balance remains great while tanins are round and silky. A great wine sharing. 18/20.
Red Forrest fruits, cherries, iron ore, minerals, plum, antique leather, smoke, very delicate and refined. Still beautiful but drink up!
